Camera Debate

Having used several brands of cameras over the years, I have come up with my own favorites based on my experiences. However, I realize that my observations will differ from many others. I would like to here from the rest of you about your own good and bad experiences with cameras. What brands do you have the best luck with? Which ones have proven to be lemons? Do you prefer certain types of cameras (such as flash vs. no flash). Are there any types or brands of batteries that you have had much luck with? I know that I have only used a sample of what all is available and I would like to know your opinion of what you think makes a great camera set up.
